Dylans ELA Reading Response

                                                           ElA: A Reading Response

Recently, I read a book called Pretty Little Liars: Flawless. It is very interesting. There are a lot of twists and turns in this book. Especially with a character in the book named Hanna Marin. Hanna Marin changes from feeling happy and popular to feeling helpless and lonely.

Hanna seems like the most popular girl in all of  Rosewood High (her high school). She gives off the impression that she has everything going her way. That everything gets handed to her. But most things aren't always as they seems. One of those most things are Hanna. She shoplifts and gets caught doing it. She is anorexic. She also stole her ex- boyfriends dads car and got arrested. Hanna may seem fine on the outside but really on the inside she has a lot of bad things going on. To her, it seems like the bad things aren't ending.

And to top it off, there is a stalker. This particular stalker goes by the name of A. Hanna knows this because she gets texts from this anonymous person or, A. These texts are basically threats saying stuff such as, " Be careful Hanna, I hear prison food makes you fat", or, " Do what I say or I will kill you." She is trying to figure out who is sending her these texts and she needs to hurry up and find out who it is fast because these text are starting to scare her. A is also threatening to tell everyone all of her secrets. If A does, it will ruin her life for the rest of the school year. Hanna will most likley go back to being a loser. And you don't really want to be framed or be called a loser in high school. Because no one has or will ever have sympathy for you what so ever.

All in all, Hanna might seem like she is a happy camper, but really, she has deeper things going on that effect her. She tries not to show that it is effecting her because, if she does, people will start to see that she is breaking down and that she is a mess. Then she will start to become less popular because she will start worrying more about everything. Then eventually, she will become a loser like how she started out. Maybe, she will start eating her feelings again. And if she does become or go back to being loser Hanna again, no one will be able to make her popular again, because Alison is gone. Also, she can't show how effected she is because A is watching. A is always watching.
